Since the autumn term 2009 the Faculty of Humanities in cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (ICFG) offers a cross-facultative Master Minor in Gender Studies at the University of Berne. The Master Minor offers an introduction to the theory of Gender Studies as well as more in-depth focus in either social sciences or art and literary.
Since the autumn term 2011 the Faculty of Humanities and the Faculty of Human Sciences in cooperation with the ICFG offer a PhD program with a specialisation in Gender Studies. The candidates selected for the PhD program will graduate in their discipline of origin, while their specialisation in Gender Studies is attained by ways of an intensive interdisciplinary exchange. Alongside professional competences, cross-facultative competences are furthered through special events.
The course language of the Master Minor and the PhD program is mainly German.
