Longitudinal Qualitative Evaluation Study – Women Against Violence Engagement Programme (WAVE)

Projektdauer

November 2023 – December 2026

Kurzbeschrieb

Gender-based violence is a manifestation of human rights violations and thus a pressing global concern. SWISSAID's WAVE programme aims to prevent and reduce gender-based discrimination and violence in targeted communities in Ecuador, Colombia, and Niger. The ICFG has been commissioned to conduct a longitudinal qualitative evaluation study to assess the effectiveness of the WAVE programme in addressing gender-based violence and promoting gender equality in the implementation sites in Ecuador and Colombia. Through focus groups and in-depth individual interviews with project beneficiaries, community leaders and government officials, qualitative data will be collected on the experiences of GBV survivors, the attitudes and behaviours of boys and men towards girls and women, and the prevailing social perceptions, practices, norms, and values. This study will consist of three evaluation phases (baseline, mid-term and endline) that will allow to monitor the impact of the programme on the communities and to steer and adapt project interventions.
